Our Nutrition Philosophies
Non-Diet Nutrition Care
A non-diet approach to nutrition means that our dietitians do not believe in a "one size fits all" style of nutrition. We do not believe in prescribing strict meal plans, calorie counts, or macro goals. We teach our clients how to build their plates in a nutritionally balanced way, allowing them the chance to listen to their bodies and follow natural cues with their dietary intakes.
Intuitive eating is an approach to food and nutrition
that relies on an individual's natural hunger and
fullness cues. It incorporates instinct, emotion, and
rationale to help build and promote a healthy attitude
towards one's food and body.
Weight inclusive nutrition care celebrates body diversity, honors people's natural differences, and address health in all body sizes by encouraging healthy relationships with food and physical activity. This also means we use other indicators of health and wellness besides just weight and we do not actively pursue weight loss as a primary goal of our nutrition therapy.
