Our Approach to Nutrition Care


Non-Diet Nutrition Care

A non-diet approach to nutrition means that our dietitians do not believe in a "one size fits all" style of nutrition. We do not believe in prescribing strict meal plans, calorie counts, or macro goals. We teach our clients how to build their plates in a nutritionally balanced way, allowing them the chance to listen to their bodies and follow natural cues with their dietary intakes.

We use principles of intuitive eating in all of our nutrition care to help promote a healthy attitude towards one's food and body.

Evidence Based

Our Registered Dietitians stay up to date with the latest nutrition research.  They use the best available nutrition evidence combined with their clinical experience to help patients choose and implement the best nutrition strategies for their needs.

Weight inclusive nutrition care celebrates body diversity, honors people's natural differences, and addresses health in all body sizes by encouraging healthy relationships with food and movement. This also means we use other indicators of health and wellness besides just weight and we do not actively pursue weight loss as a primary goal of our nutrition therapy.
