Alisa Dusan, RDN, LD
Alisa is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian. She received a Bachelor’s degree in nutrition from the University of Texas at Austin and completed her dietetic internship at Texas State University.
Alisa worked as a recipe writer and freelance nutrition writer and consultant for Nickelodeon’s Parent’s Connect until she went into private practice in 2009.
She believes in a non-diet approach to nutrition counseling and keeps a healthy relationship with food at the center of everything she does. Alisa enjoys walking her clients through a variety of nutrition-related health conditions in addition to providing nutrition therapy for eating disorder recover. Alisa is passionate about walking alongside parents as they navigate the tricky path of feeding their families and has experience both personally and professionally in caring for the unique feeding needs of foster and adopted children.

Deborah is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian. She received both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in nutrition from Texas State University and also completed her dietetic internship at Texas State University.
Deborah has worked in all areas of nutrition and dietetics, including clinical, school-based, and private practice. She is currently a lecturer for the Nutrition and Foods Department at Texas State University.
As a nutrition expert and professional, Deborah believes firmly in a non-diet approach to nutrition and wellness. She incorporates the principles of Health at Every Size® and Intuitive Eating when working with clients to help repair their relationship with food. She loves to teach nutrition principles and truths while working one-on-one with clients struggling with eating disorders, disordered eating patterns, and body image concerns. She loves to help dispel food myths and diet-culture beliefs that society tries to engrain in us continuously.
Deborah is also very passionate about working with clients suffering from nutrition-related chronic diseases (specifically diabetes and GI disorders, such as IBS/IBD), athletes (in training and in injury recovery), and mothers (pre-/postnatal, pregnancy, breastfeeding).
We offer both online telehealth nutrition therapy as well as in person appointments in our office. Our office is located in The Overlook Center in Buda, TX.
In addition to individual nutrition counseling, we are available for group speaking and offer a variety of nutrition classes.
We accept most major insurances, so it's possible that your visit will be fully covered.
